Overview
Students who complete the program will be:
- familiar with the basic care, handling and management of animals
- familiar with the nutritional needs of animals, able to analyze and develop animal
rations
- able to research and present animal science information effectively
- able to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms and work successfully
with a team
Degree Option
Associate in Applied Science (AAS)
- 61 Credit Hours (2 Years)
- This program is suitable for students looking to take courses in small animal management
or specialize in more than one farm animal species or combine an animal interest with
one in agricultural business, agricultural education, agricultural engineering or
plant science.
- Students will be prepared to seamlessly transfer into the a bachelor of technology
program within the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
- Students will be prepared to begin a career in the animal industry including its support
industries
