Program Overview
The Supply Chain Management certificate program at SUNY Cobleskill prepares students
for work experience across the various domains of supply chain including logistics,
warehousing, distribution, purchasing, transportation, and inventory management. The
program has a strong emphasis on the foundations of management with a focus on
technical and soft skills. Management, communications, and Excel skills are embedded
in
the curriculum. The Certificate program may be completed entirely online.

Career Outlook
Despite the various challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the local transportation and warehousing sector is projected to continue to grow in the coming years. For the decade ending 2028, sector employment is expected to increase by 23.4%. This is more than twice the projected growth rate of all industries in the region (+9.0%). Moreover, the sector’s warehousing and storage industry is projected to be the region’s fastest growing industry. As e-commerce continues to grow, demand for warehouse space and workers to manage the logistics is expected to remain high.
