At SUNY state operated campuses, students are generally eligible for the in-state
tuition rate if they have established their domicile in New York State for at least
twelve months prior to the start of the semester. Graduating from a New York State
high school within 5 years of attending a SUNY state operated campus automatically
qualifies a student for the in-state tuition rate, regardless of the student’s state
of residency.
If you are being charged the out-of-state tuition rate and believe you should be
considered a NYS resident, please complete the residency application and submit it, with required documentation, to the Student Accounts office for processing.
