SUNY Cobleskill is a very safe campus in Central New York State, 40 minutes west of Albany and 4 hours north of New York City. The College also has it's own department of University Police.
Students live in residence halls or apartments in the Cobleskill area. On-campus housing is guaranteed. Off-campus housing opportunities are subject to availability. Students in their first year must live on campus. Learn more about housing >>
Meal plans and food are available on campus. Students housed on campus purchase meal plans. Students who live off campus may also purchase meals on campus. Otherwise, they can prepare food in their apartments. Learn more about food on campus >>
There is bus transportation from SUNY Cobleskill to Albany, the capital of New York State. Albany is 40 minutes away. Bus and train transportation to New York City, Boston and other cities are available from Albany. Taxi service from Cobleskill to Albany is available.
All international students will purchase international health insurance at SUNY Cobleskill. There is a hospital in Cobleskill and health services are available on campus.
Late spring, summer and early fall are mild, while winters can be quite cold and snowy.
