What to Bring

Here is a list of items that might make your room a more comfortable place for you and your roommate:

  • Bedding (Blankets, Pillows, Sheets for a Twin XL Size Bed)
  • Cleaning Supplies (High Efficiency Laundry Detergent, Laundry Bag, Sanitizing Supplies, Small Trash Can)
  • Eating Utensils (Bowls, Chopsticks, Cups, Forks, Kitchen Knives, Mugs, Plates, Spoons, Water Bottle)
  • Lamp (Desk, Floor)
  • Refrigerator or Microfridge. We permit one refrigerator (under 1.75 amps) per room in all residence halls, with the exception of Alumni Commons. For Microfridge rental information, please visit https://mymicrofridge.com/order-now/.
  • Throw Rug with Pad
  • Toiletries (Body Soap, Deodorant, Lotion, Shampoo, Shaving Cream, Shower Shoes, Shower Tote, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Towels)
  • UL Listed Power Strip (Must have UL Listed Certification & Power Reset Switch)
  • Warm Clothes

 

These items are NOT allowed in student rooms:

  • Alcohol/Drug Paraphernalia
  • Candles/Incense
  • Electric Items (Blankets, Extension Cords, Frying Pans, Halogen Lamps, Hot Plates, Microwave Ovens, Rice Cookers, Transportation Devices - Hoverboards, Scooters, Skateboards)
  • Futons or Lofts
  • Outside Furniture
  • Pets of any kind (except fish)
  • Tapestries, Curtains, or Flags of any kind and size
  • Toy Guns (BB, Nerf)

  • Coffee Maker or Electric Kettle (Must be an Auto Shut-Off Model)
